Conquest’s Arrival

Conquest’s Arrival

Conquest’s Arrival puts players opposite an intimidating alien enforcer confronting a young hero over an unfinished mission — a tense Choicer Voicer pack pulled from Invincible’s darker superhero territory. TalkingBennyREAL built the pack around Conquest, a towering antagonist who arrives to hold Mark accountable for the state of the planet, and the whole exchange plays out as a mounting standoff rather than a quick skirmish, with both characters’ lines interwoven line by line rather than split into separate blocks.

Twelve lines split evenly between the two characters, with Conquest’s dialogue carrying a cold, formal menace — measured, almost bureaucratic, like someone reciting a verdict rather than making a threat, right down to introducing himself by name mid-confrontation as if it’s simply protocol before laying out exactly how the planet has failed to prepare for what’s coming. Mark’s side of the exchange moves in the opposite direction, starting defensive and uncertain, admitting fault under pressure and taking responsibility for the destruction around him, before shifting toward a grim, resolved anger by the pack’s final lines that signals he’s done explaining himself and ready to act instead.

That contrast is really the appeal here: nailing Conquest means staying controlled and unhurried even as the threat escalates, letting the menace come from stillness and precise phrasing rather than volume, while Mark’s performance depends on that turn from guilt and hesitation into something harder and more decisive by the closing exchange. Players who enjoy dramatic, tightly written confrontations over comedic material will get the most out of this one, especially with a partner willing to commit fully to Conquest’s flat, commanding delivery rather than playing him as a shouting villain who telegraphs every threat.

It’s a two-player pack through and through, so it won’t suit a bigger group looking to split parts among several people, but for a pair wanting a genuine dramatic scene to sink into, Conquest’s Arrival delivers a compact, escalating confrontation in well under two minutes. Each line comes with its own reference image showing the character mid-delivery, which helps both players stay locked onto the same emotional beat as the timestamps move steadily forward through the standoff, without either voice getting ahead of where the scene actually is, one of a handful of dramatic two-handers in the voice packs.
